My story begins with meeting a God sent young man in 2009. After several nights of depression and crying tears of sorrow, God answered my prayer and sent me Jonathan to help me as a single mom with a one year old.
We met in April 2009, engaged in October 2009 and enjoyed a beautiful winter wonderland theme wedding ceremony in January 2010. We’ve been married for five and a half years and extended our family with another two boys together through conception. Now we have three growing boys ages 7 years, 4 years and 5 months old.
Going from a single mom to becoming a married mother was difficult but manageable with God. Needless to say, love glued our family from two into one. Jonathan absolutely loves the oldest son who calls him daddy. Our oldest son knows he has a biological father and has started to accept his absence. Jonathan helps comfort, teach, lead him as if he is his own.
Many strangers actually say they look alike and have the same mannerisms. Our middle son, has always known his older brother and simply cannot tell any difference between a blood brother and a half brother; he just calls him “bu-be”. With the addition of the third son, our oldest helps keep the baby calm by singing to him and playing with him very often. This makes me smile and brings me joy to know God is working it out.
To deal with future trails and confusion, we created a “family night” every Friday we focus on bonding and having fun regardless of our financial status; either watching a home movie, bowling, miniature golf, swimming, going to a movie theatre, sitting in a photo shoot, or watching a live high school football game. A stable family is our ultimate goal.
Family is the example of God’s love for everyone. I am a member of several non-blood related families. I belong to an Army family, Church family, Work family, and Fitness family. I even grew up in a blessed Lovelogical family home with one half sister, my mom and my step (Lovelogical) father. Because of the great love and care my step father blessed me with, I was able to grow and become the tought lady I am today. Actually, my biological father and step father walked together to hand me to my groom and now husband.
I am thankful for my experiences and grateful to God for choosing me to blend this Lovelogical family together!
